Microlearning Module
Understanding Dreams
Project Overview
Introduction
This microlearning module was created as a concept project to demonstrate my ability to design short, engaging learning experiences using Rise 360. The topic—understanding common dream symbols—was chosen to keep the content light and creative while applying core microlearning principles like focused topics, user-driven pacing, and real-world reflection.
My Role
I developed the module independently, from content structure to visual layout and learner flow. I used ChatGPT to help generate the short dream story featured in the course, which serves as a practical example to support reflection. The final experience is fully self-paced, structured for quick consumption, and concludes with a reflective prompt to encourage learner engagement and personal application.
Design Approach
Content Focus & Tone
Since this was a concept project, I intentionally chose a topic that was light, imaginative, and a little unconventional for a professional portfolio. The goal was to demonstrate how microlearning can be applied to any topic when designed with clarity and purpose. I kept the tone friendly and approachable to match the subject matter, while still using clean design and consistent structure to maintain a professional learning experience.
Structure & Pacing
The module follows a simple, linear flow with brief content sections, bold headers, and consistent visual cues to guide the learner. It starts with an introduction to dream interpretation, followed by a list of common dream symbols, and ends with a short, reflective scenario. I used Rise 360 to ensure a responsive, mobile-friendly experience that mirrors the kind of quick-reference learning often used in real-world settings.
Use of AI
To support the creative tone of the module, I used ChatGPT to help generate the dream story featured in the final reflection activity. This allowed me to balance creativity with efficiency, while still customizing the content to fit the structure and learning objectives of the course.
Visual Showcase
This microlearning module was built in Rise 360 to create a clean, mobile-responsive experience. The course is fully self-paced and designed for quick, focused learning—with short content sections and a reflective prompt to wrap up the experience.

Conclusion
This project highlights my ability to design short-form, self-paced learning experiences using Rise 360. Even though the topic was intentionally light and creative, the structure, flow, and user experience reflect real-world microlearning design principles. It also demonstrates my ability to develop content independently, while thoughtfully incorporating AI tools to support creativity and efficiency in the design process.
