Interactive Course
Email Etiquette for the Workplace
Project Overview
Introduction
This project was created as a portfolio sample to showcase my skills in instructional design, storyboarding, and eLearning development. The course focuses on email etiquette in the workplace, a topic that’s both widely applicable and essential in many professional settings. The goal was to simulate the process of designing a formal corporate training—from ideation through delivery—while incorporating realistic voiceover and interactive learner assessments.
My Role
I independently developed this course from start to finish. I used ChatGPT to help brainstorm the topic and outline the content, then created a detailed storyboard to structure the course. From there, I built the full module in Articulate Storyline 360, incorporating custom interactions and neural voice narration to reflect the tone and polish of a compliance-style eLearning experience.
Design & Development Process
Topic Development
To select a topic that felt realistic and relevant, I used ChatGPT to generate a list of professional development ideas commonly addressed in workplace training. After narrowing down the options, I chose email etiquette—a practical, transferable skill often included in compliance or onboarding curricula. I used ChatGPT to help brainstorm content structure, define learning objectives, and identify key messaging.
Storyboarding
Once the content was outlined, I created a formal storyboard to plan the visual and interactive flow of the course. The storyboard included narration scripts, screen layouts, user interactions, and assessment logic—ensuring that the final build would follow a clear and cohesive structure. This also gave me the chance to simulate a real-world instructional design workflow where a storyboard might be reviewed by stakeholders before development.
Course Development
I built the course in Articulate Storyline 360, applying a clean, corporate-friendly aesthetic. I used neural voice narration for all voiceover content to create a polished and professional tone. Throughout the course, I incorporated interactive elements like clickable text, visual prompts, and built-in feedback to support learner engagement and retention.
Interactive Elements
This course was designed to simulate a formal, workplace-ready eLearning experience. Learners interact with the content through clickable prompts that reveal additional guidance and reinforce key ideas—creating a self-paced flow that mirrors real corporate training modules.

To support engagement and retention, the course includes a short, interactive activity at the end. This activity features a series of scenario-based questions that assess the learner’s understanding of email etiquette principles in a low-pressure, feedback-driven format. The goal is to encourage reflection and reinforce key takeaways, rather than formally test performance—making it both accessible and effective.
Visual Showcase
Storyboard Preview
Before development, I created a formal storyboard outlining the course structure, narration script, screen content, and learner interactions. This document served as a blueprint for the final build and reflects a professional instructional design workflow.
Course Demo
The final course was built in Articulate Storyline 360 and embedded below to provide a direct preview of the learner experience. It features neural voice narration, click-to-reveal interactions, and a short scenario-based activity to reinforce key takeaways.

Conclusion
This project gave me the opportunity to design a complete eLearning experience from the ground up—starting with topic ideation and storyboarding, and ending with a polished, interactive module. It showcases my ability to manage the instructional design process independently while applying the tools and structure often found in real-world corporate training.

By leveraging tools like ChatGPT, Articulate Storyline, and neural voice narration, I was able to simulate a professional, compliance-style course that reflects both learner needs and organizational expectations.
